♪ The 2012 Christmas Tour is Underway ♪

♪ Akoustikos has officially kicked off their 2012 tour with two performances in November! ♪

     Akoustikos was invited to perform at the Jonestown Elementary School on November 10th. The event hosted a full Thanksgiving meal for families, with live entertainment during the feast. Akoustikos was able to give their listeners a preview of their upcoming Christmas show, plus feature a few songs from their summer program. The entire event was a huge success! Akoustikos would like to thank everyone involved for making this even possible, and for inviting Akoustikos to perform.

     The Northern Lebanon High school launched a craft show yesterday, November 24th. The event featured many talented craftsmen and artisans, plus a few live performances in the cafeteria. Akoustikos previewed more of their upcoming Christmas show, and featured an intermission with an all-string quartet, and Akoustikos' junior student ensemble. Because of the success of the entire craft show, the school will be able to purchase 2 Tubas.

Lebanon Valley Brethren Home of Palmyra

    What a wonderful time everyone had at the Lebanon Valley Brethren Home!

      This was Akoustikos' first time performing at this home, but that did not stop the residents from filling the room! Many friendly and smiling faces eagerly anticipated the start of the show. But many more were in attendance. The Akoustikos concert was aired on the home's television system, so residents in their rooms could be a part of the event. And what an event it was! The start of the show featured the Entertainment director officially announcing the group to the audience. Akoustikos began the show on a high note with a unique version of Beethoven's 5th. The residents really enjoyed the program. Their attentiveness and involvement in the program was amazing to see. This was truly a great way to end the summer tour: sweet, yet bitter nonetheless. Every beginning must have an ending.... Cliche, yet true.
