ECC: Stone Ridge Town Center Concert

The performance at ECC on December 12th was a huge success.

Many familiar faces (and some new) gathered to hear Akoustikos' new Christmas program. Every year since Akoustikos' infancy, the orchestra has performed a show for the residents at ECC. With that in mind, it was truly a special time for everyone.

Akoustikos' newest addition, the "Small Fry" ensemble, provided a few opening numbers before the main performance.  The residents were singing along to Jolly Old Saint Nicholas, and I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus, before the ensemble ended with the classic hymn Angels We Have Heard On High.

Now, on to the Main Orchestra!

At this point, the program switched gears and the original group entered the stage. Akoustikos opened with a few new songs, including a Christmas medley. The orchestra's version of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas featured the violin talent of Alyssa martin. Her beautiful solo for this song was a highlight during the performance.
